Ibrahim Issifu is a Fisheries Economist and Research Associate at UBC’s Institute for the Oceans and Fisheries, whose work integrates social, economic, and ecological dimensions of sustainability. His research spans blue food systems, fisheries economics, and climate adaptation, with extensive publications including studies on distant-water fishing impacts and equity in the blue economy.
